ABSTRACT

This research paper examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the public use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and how it has transformed the workforce. The study involves a survey to assess how workplaces have changed since the pandemic and the current state of these changes. The survey addresses various aspects such as working from home, adopting new computer technologies, and the overall impact of ICT on employees. ICT encompasses a wide range of technologies that manage and communicate information, including networks, systems, and technology platforms. The research focuses on how ICT tools like email, video conferencing, project management software, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have been utilized in businesses. The goal is to identify the positive and negative effects of these changes on different industries. Key research questions include the nature of work during COVID-19, the benefits, and the challenges of working from home, and the overall influence of technology in the workplace. Preliminary findings suggest that ICT has been crucial in enabling remote work, with a significant portion of the workforce adapting successfully. Managers should consider these insights to address workplace challenges and leverage ICT for improved adaptation. The research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the transformative role of ICT in the workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic.
