ABSTRACT
Preparing for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination is widely recognized as a complex and demanding process that requires not only subject mastery but also strategic planning and disciplined execution. This paper presents a structured, five-stage framework designed to guide candidates through effective CPA exam preparation. Drawing on practical insights and contextualized for candidates in Alaska, the study outlines key stages including goal setting, resource selection, study planning, performance monitoring, and final review. Each stage emphasizes actionable strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce uncertainty, and improve overall readiness. By organizing the preparation process into a clear and manageable roadmap, the paper contributes a practical model that can support candidates in navigating the challenges of CPA certification with greater confidence and strategic focus.
